      Movie Info

Movie star Jack Wyatt (Will Ferrell) has hit a rough patch in his career. Looking to make a comeback, he signs on to play the role of Darrin in a movie version of the popular 1960s sitcom "Bewitched." Jack insists that an unknown is hired to play Darrin's better half, the beguiling witch-housewife Samantha, so the studio finds an up-and-comer named Isabel Bigelow (Nicole Kidman). Once shooting begins, though, Jack learns that Isabel was cast too well -- since she actually is a witch.

Blech. Blah. Vomit. And this from a guy who loves Nicky Kidman.

It's a sad day indeed when Michael Caine appears in the same film as Will Ferrell. Incompetent writing, mismatched cast and absurd dialogue make this film a dud.

This family comedy-fantasy is a re-imagining of the television series of the same name and it was written, produced, and directed by Nora Ephron and featured as co-stars Nicole Kidman and Will Ferrell. I was never a great fan of the original and this was not too far from it! Whatever the director and actors tried, just somehow didn't work out at the end. There were few funny moments but in general did not deserve attention it had in the cinemas (the total US gross was $63,313,159 with international at $68,100,000). In the movie, Kidman plays Isabel Bigelow, a real witch who is cast as Samantha in a television remake of the original series. Will Ferrell plays Jack, the movie star cast as Darrin who is determined to make the show all about him. But then he falls in love with Isabel and finds out she's a witch... Nicole Kidman and Will Ferrell's on-screen pairing was found lacking by moviegoers and earned the two a Razzie Award for "Worst Screen Couple." I won't go so far but there was no chemistry there... and they did what they could with a lame screenplay. Stay away if you're not a fan of the old version!

Bewitched, have a charme made by yours actors, and for be remember a classic series, in this case, the homonymy popular show with Elizabeth Montgomery. But the film, have a terrible screenplay, just like the direction of Nora Ephron, beyond this Bewitched don't have any kind of entertaining or funny. Rotten.
