Varun Dhawan does a good job of aligning with the tone of the film-- the horror is pretty much ‘naam-ke-vaaste’, comedy is what it is interested in and does it well.

Bhediya is a horror comedy that is neither scary nor funny. It's a silly werewolf movie where a 'surprise reveal' is too easy to predict. The visual effects in Bhediya are overrated and can't make up for a weak story with too many plot holes.

The core premise (" Man vs Nature" ) is something we might have seen in many creature feature movies in Hollywood but Bollywood's twist on the trope and werewolves does give it a fresh flair. The CGI is pretty decent for a Bollywood budget and the wolf looks very convincing in 3D. Definitely check this one out if it'd playing at a theater near you(Bollywood movies in the US play with subtitles included)
