Rick W So many wannabe critics that love ripping a movie apart. Not a star studded movie. No gratious sex, no extreme blood and gore, no extreme vugular language. A decent western. The plot was simple. Holes in the movie? Not really, unless you lack imagination. I suppose one could say there was not a lot of detail about the slaughter house but was it really needed? Enjoyable movie. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/25/23 Full Review Liam D It has a very talented cast who give the same amount of good performances as they usually do but it's a very bland western Rated 2 out of 5 stars 09/28/22 Full Review Audience Member Characters, actors are examples of second rate quality. Sluggish script, Supporting cast dragging in energy, focus. After viewing 100+ good westerns, hard not to compare, have reasonable expectations. Big Kill comes across as 'already kilt!' Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/05/23 Full Review Audience Member When you haven't seen a new western in quite some time, one should be able to expect something new and fresh. Alas, that is not to be found in Big Kill. Same characters, backdrops, tropes, and clichés that come with every western. There are no big jump off the screen performances, the sets are ordinary and the one-liners are dull, but the scenery is spectacular. Sometimes, I think that this movie was trying to be a comedy, especially with the final duel. That was truly ridiculous. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/24/23 Full Review Audience Member Good. Plausible. Well-acted. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/07/23 Full Review Audience Member For a $3.00 rental I wasn't expecting too much. I found it a bit of harmless fun with some clever little one liners. Daniel Neman St. Louis Post-Dispatch "Big Kill" plays on the screen for a little more than two hours. But at best it contains maybe 30 minutes of story. Rated: 1.5/4 Dec 6, 2018 Full Review Joe Leydon Variety Scott Martin's enjoyably retro Western should please genre fans eager for a wild ride. Oct 19, 2018 Full Review Michael Rechtshaffen Los Angeles Times Those timeless New Mexico backdrops may lend the production its desired authenticity, but all those structural wide-open spaces stop "Big Kill" dead in its tedious tracks. Oct 18, 2018 Full Review Roger Moore Movie Nation Incompetent pewter-plated "Silverado." Nice locations, though. Rated: 1/4 Mar 21, 2019 Full Review Andrew Emerson Film Threat Aside from being full of holes for one, the plot concludes with a resolution that's both anticlimactic and predictable. Additionally, the film also has several underdeveloped subplots... Rated: 2/10 Mar 19, 2019 Full Review Walter Chaw Film Freak Central Played for cool and, when that fails, played for laughs, Big Kill is desperate to find a reason to exist beyond playing expensive dress-up and make-believe.
