Geoff Brown Time Out Debilitatingly tasteful tosh. May 22, 2023 Full Review Simon Foster sbs.com.au Bilitis hasn’t aged well and is only of note because it is so brazen in its depiction of one of cinema’s taboo topics. Rated: 2.5/5 May 22, 2023 Full Review Pat M. Kuras Gay Community News (Boston) Bilitis is pretty much a turkey that gobbles alone. Sep 15, 2022 Full Review Lucy Moy-Thomas Spare Rib While the camera lingers freely over Bilitis' sexual relationships, the film's overt message is that lesbianism should be treated as an infantile disorder, something nice girls grow out of. Sep 20, 2021 Full Review Jesús Fernández Santos El Pais (Spain) The film is something like a champagne advertisement, without the bottle, of course. Audience Member The film looks absolutely beautiful, which is no surprise considering David Hamilton, the director, was a photographer. It also explores its characters emotions in a very honest and real way, though a better fleshed out story would've given it more depth. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/12/23 Full Review bill t Pretentious eurotrash about a girl who spends a summer at a parent's friend's place then is... awakened sexually! Boring, predictable and coated with vaseline, this is one worth skipping. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member letdown. some exquisite moments. jury's still out when it comes to what i think about david hamilton. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/15/23 Full Review Audience Member At 15 this was sobbingly sad, but still a wonderful tale of young love, whatever your preference. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/20/23 Full Review Audience Member nunca vi tanta x***** peluda junta na minha vida.
