I’d argue that the point of comedy isn’t to play polite, rather it is to plumbs the depths of the human condition as long as a punchline can emerge from it. The problem rather is the fact that every single second of his set is horribly second-rate. Go to Full Review

Wolf delivered the strongest set. But there’s a downside of having your best performers go up early, because then the remaining 45 minutes begin to drag by comparison. Go to Full Review

Overall, the good can’t outweigh the truly bad parts of this special. Go to Full Review

Bryan S Apr 12 I have never seen a standup so cringe worthy. I mean these special is so so so so so bad you can feel the awkwardness from the audience like it is staring you in the face. The only appropriate place for this to ever be played is in a funeral home during a service See more lavielemond 12/23/2023 I'm an Aussie & I like to consider myself a mega-fan of comedy (particularly stand-up), although I definitely prefer a phenomenal number of British comedians to the vast majority of US comedians (apart from Dave Chappelle, Bill Hicks, George Carlin, Kevin Hart, Chris Rock, Bill Burr - pre-marriage, Roseanne Barr & Patrice O'Neal, off the top of my head). But this show was BEYOND WOEFULLY BAD & I can't think of even one redeeming feature that I can mention to end this on a high, sadly! See more Paul D 06/04/2023 Weak ... Very weak... See more Captain C 01/03/2023 I love Bill...but what was going through his head here? I really really want to know what the back story of this was...are they trolling us? How did this make it past post-production? Is this a tax write-off? Is this a contractual obligation? I've never been so disapointed at a comedian. I watched this the first day out before the reviews were in and I was psyched. At first there's a sense of disappointment that none of the jokes are landing, then it just goes downhill from there. The final 15-20 minutes are a train wreck--the most unfunny, unentertaining cringe I've ever seen. I was just looking at the screen saying "Huh?". Avoid. Avoid at all costs, it's not even so bad it's good bad. See more M R 11/04/2022 The only comedians that were good are Bill (obviously), Jeff Ross, Dave Attell and Josh Adam Meyers. It was the hardest thing to watch. I was hoping it got better. It has to be the biggest let down of bill burr's entire career. Bill attached his name to the entire show, which unfortunately means he approved the horrific line up with the few exceptions. Maybe just maybe Bill had no say in the line up. If so, why why? Why would you put your career on the line. How can Netflix associate Bill with some of those "comedians". Honestly is Bill being punished for something. I am no comedian but damn that was awful. See more 07/02/2022 A group of comedians that were available because they suck. Bill Burr starts off with Bill Burr saying Bill Burr stuff. And if your familiar with his work, there is no shock to what he says. The only shock is it was not funny. But then he introduces the first in the "line up" , and gave the accolades of writing for late night and once preforming for the President. My Immediate thought was..... writes for late night.... you mean the shows with a dropping viewership and horrible pro Pfizer dance routines???? People are fleeing from these shows faster than the Oscars. And Michelle Wolf proves why. Without giving spoilers even the live audience who were warmed up and probably given alcohol weren't laughing anymore.... like if it wasn't being filmed verge of booing. Naturally the following comedians could pull out a chuckle here and there. But the scene and mood had been set If you like Bill Burr (I do) please skip this misstep of a "special". And netflixs need to burry this in it's archives. See more Read all reviews
