The critics are wrong about this one. It's a cute, funny, and sentimental story about family. It has a sort of Wes Anderson feel to it. It's worth a watch, you won't regret the time spent watching.

Amo muito tudo isso, que família, delicinha, da vontade de viver no filme, Toni Collette sempre esplendidamente magnifica, divertida e mãe leoa, padecendo no paraíso, as crianças sempre roubam as cenas com suas peripécias, um experimento audacioso, a meu ver, as influências sócias e genéticas influencia na proporção de 50%, não sendo absolutas, podendo haver maior e menor grau de alterações dependendo do quão influenciável/determinado e o ser… Destaque para a trilha sonoro, desfecho simplório…

Not the most exciting film but it's not trying to be. It's a wholesome, heartfelt film, enjoyed the cinematography, directing style, 80s aesthetic and the fitting soundtrack. Don't think the bad reviews are justified
