      kimberly p This film was so powerful and enlightening! I highly recommend seeking it out, to discover the deep seeded history of hockey. Furthering our knowledge and education is how systemic change can start to happen. Watch it, you will be moved. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member An impressive independent Irish production by Johnny Gogan who audaciously takes on the coming of age drama genre by using the often commercialised gimmick of speed racing. Black Ice is very gritty and very dark and while it suffers from the occasional dead moments it is full of sensibility for its characters' genuine emotions and feels like a realistic representation of a rebellious, disenchanted and ramshackle youth.
