CIA Agent Abby Trent (Michelle Monaghan) manages an underground black site facility that imprisons dangerous and high-risk detainees. Days before Abby's reassignment to a new post, Special Ops bring in a high-value target at the top of every Most Wanted list -- codename: Hatchet (Jason Clarke). Hatchet is notorious for killing his enemies in a gruesome manner, and for Abby, his capture is personal. Determined to avenge her husband's death at the hands of Hatchet, Abby's plan is soon thrown into chaos once Hatchet escapes and begins a bloody game of murdering the site officers --one-by-one. While Abby and the team hunt him down, she quickly discovers that there are moles within the ranks compromising the mission. With time running out, Abby doubts everyone around her, begging the question who can she really trust?

Sophia Banks did not succeed here. Loose ends, gaps in story, not convincing at all. How Michelle Monaghan, Jason Clarke and Jai Courtney ended up in the cast will remain a mystery, they deserve much better. {Seems more and more movies portray American "elite" units (CIA, SEALS, Special Forces, etc ... as pathetic / stupid / incompetent / perfidious / treacherous / traitorous ... why❓🤔🤔🤔🤔}

I am a pretty forgiving movie goer, but having struggled through this film, I had to join Rotten Tomatoes to try and warn others. As I write this, I see the titles suggest that the Australian Government supported it. Being Australian, that makes perfect sense. The plot was full of holes, if the lead actor had made a decision, any decision at all 30 seconds before she finally did something, the movie would have been much shorter. The film lacks realism. If a site is locked down, then it should lock down. Not allow any man and their dog to stroll around. Secure facilities always have an airgap entrance so that people inside can see who is outside before they enter. Just one of these anywhere would have stopped the intruder. And the ending... such a tiny missile for such a big bunker busting bang... So yea, 1/2 a star. And then only because I couldn't figure out how to provide zero stars. Save your time, go and visit a dentist, or mow the lawn outside. Anything.

Could the movie get worse or more stereotypical? Matt Theo's performance was unconvincing and ho-hum. A rewrite of the script and getting actors who can play their roles. Matt Theo stood out as the worst, and I found myself laughing at his attempts to be threatening and intimidating. Don't waste your time.
