CIA Agent Abby Trent (Michelle Monaghan) manages an underground black site facility that imprisons dangerous and high-risk detainees. Days before Abby's reassignment to a new post, Special Ops bring in a high-value target at the top of every Most Wanted list -- codename: Hatchet (Jason Clarke). Hatchet is notorious for killing his enemies in a gruesome manner, and for Abby, his capture is personal. Determined to avenge her husband's death at the hands of Hatchet, Abby's plan is soon thrown into chaos once Hatchet escapes and begins a bloody game of murdering the site officers --one-by-one. I waited until the Director's Cut came out and I'm grateful I did. I loved the performances and stunts, the action was cool and Jason as "Hatchet" had me wondering who was going to end up alive by the end. Great for a Friday night.

Its like amature hour at the cia recruitment center! For a "Black Site", all the persons stationed there, seem to have had about a 1 hour course at best! They are the worst of the worst for military persons, all looking out for themselves, and showing zero coherence in organized manuvers. You would expect only the best at such a installation, but instead only examples of the worst. An alarm at such a place should send all personnel into hyperactive vigilance! its not the daycare! But now... all the "fortified" act like its a joke, and over sensationalized. Sure, black sites have "situations every day, i'm sure". There is no sembelance of any coordinated efforts at all, at doing what's right. No one is acting in national interests, and as others have mentioned, it seems its all for one, and no one for all. Its so hard to watch and try to understand any rational thinking at all. It's just basically nonsensical mess; everyone is acting of their own accord and fallback contingencies don't exist. Clearly, whoever made up this story just went with what they have seen on other tv shows to base how professional the characters should be and dispensed with what should have been intensely trained professionals all together. Probably best just not to watch, but if you want a good example of how to ruin something that had potential? This is a fine example of what not to do.

Horrible! Save yourself the time and disappointment of watching this mess. The screenplay, the director and production are just awful and the whole thing is boring. Good actors trying to make a terrible movie work but sadly it still fails on all fronts. I couldn't even get to the end of it because I lost interest 10 mins in and I have sat through a lot of bad movies having invested time into them, it was that bad I couldn't bear through it.
