I’d also like a hit of whatever the critics were smoking to rate this so highly—it was pretty bad. Terrible characters, lousy acting, obnoxious strobe effects, and dialogue ripped from tough-acting middle school boys. Annoyed at myself for waiting for it to get good through the entire movie. Never got there and had a Dumb ending

With an intense leading performance from Dora Madison, "Bliss" is a bloody wild & visually trippy drug fueled sexual trip into vampirism. Writer & director Joe Begos, along with cinematographer Mike Testin really capture the drug trips & look of the city nightlife that blends into the art & the mayhem of the violence that gets chewed out onscreen.

6/10. 62/100. | I swear if this movie causes a migraine within the next day or 2, I'm knocking at least .2 points from its rating. So much strobing it's ridiculous. And I felt this movie on a different level than most ppl would bc of 1 thing that shall not be named, but also the crave for creating art and getting fame and money from it. Or just appreciation really. It can be mentally draining putting in all the hard work, do a great job, but have little to no attention or appreciation for it. 😵 Creating art can be Murder.

Very stylistic, but I didn't care for or sympathize with the main character in any way, couldn't have happened to a nicer person, but I would still watch it again. Opens a new can of worms that amuses and does not bother.

‘Bliss’ is an obscene parade of neon-drenched depravity filled to the brim with gore, sex, and more gore. Joe Begos’ hyper-charged exploitation style is on full, unbridled display, giving fans of raunchier, nastier horror exactly the kind of rush they crave, all capped off with some phenomenal practical effects.

Crazy on every level from start to finish. Only downpoint it sometimes looks like a tv movie but mostly the film has great visual ideas, an over the top cinematography, good directing and a lot of gory sexy creepy scenes with a very personal auteuristic approach that makes it an ovni of a movie. Will be deeply enjoyed by true genre fans.
