Dallas King Flick Feast A neon-soaked, synth-fuelled slice of science fiction... The striking aesthetic is complimented perfectly by some impressive visual effects and Carpenter Brut’s pulsating score which brings the film to life. Rated: 4/5 Nov 11, 2022 Full Review Hasitha Fernando Flickering Myth Blood Machines is an utterly immersive, visually striking love letter to 80's sci-fi and horror films and what it lacks in narrative coherence it will certainly make up for through its acid trip imagery. Jul 8, 2020 Full Review Alex Hudson Exclaim! No one could ever accuse [Seth] Ickerman and [Carpenter] Brut of being half-hearted in their homage to retro sci-fi B movies; whether or not that's a good thing will depend entirely on the viewer's appetite for corny genre exercises. Rated: 5/10 Jun 19, 2020 Full Review Víctor López G. Espinof It's one of those rare genuinely impressive films that you have to just experience. [Full Review in Spanish] Rated: 4.5/5 Jun 11, 2020 Full Review Andrew Wyatt The Lens None of it makes much sense, but Ickerman is infinitely less interested in narrative coherence than in the psychedelic visuals and throbbing techno score. Rated: C+ Jun 5, 2020 Full Review John Squires Bloody Disgusting A stunning work of art that loudly and colorfully marks the arrival of a new visionary in Seth Ickerman. Jesse M Visually amazing and subversive but executed poorly on some fronts. This product is a great example of why a skilled producer/director is needed to make sure a great concept is molded into a great film. The Seth Ickerman team are amazing at doing BIG things with little resources, telling an original story and taking risks, but there is a blatant lack of refinement from a quality producer. Someone needed to step in and show them what does and doesn't work from a story/exhibition/dialogue stand point. They score an A+ with the concept and visuals but end up making a B movie that smells of student film. I prefer a movie to not spoon feed me and let me do my own thinking but their story needs to still TELL a story. It can be a hard line to stand on and all the more reason to have a great head of production step back and force some choices. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 08/01/24 Full Review Noneya B Lots of nudity, lots. I had thought before I started watching that I'd share with friends if it's good. I knew right away that wasn't an option. I thought it was good, very different, and amazing visuals. That's not a reference to the CONSTANT nudity. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 05/28/24 Full Review Greg D Some interesting visuals, but largely cringy and inept otherwise and not in an entertaining way. Disappointing as I had kickstarted this way back in the day. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 11/04/23 Full Review Julien R Pretentious AF, but at least it looked kinda good (the visual but the SFX itself looked like a cinematic from a game like Warcraft III) Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 05/24/23 Full Review Audience Member this should not be divided into 3 parts, and the credits are way too long, so it felt that they wanted to pad out the length like a lot of recent marvel stuff has done. the CGI is absolutely amazing, but it does kind of stop being so riveting once we have seen the same ships a few times. i think this was great, absolutely worth watching, but is a little too brief for thorough character development. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/14/23 Full Review michael d Slick and offbeat, would love to see a continuation. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Read all reviews
