Stefan Birgir Stefans sbs.is Instead of the monster, we have college students that have arrived in Thailand to help the mad professor in his mission. 95% of the film is them being boring in the jungle. They are all useless like this film. Rated: 0.5/5 Aug 23, 2023 Full Review Scott Weinberg FEARnet Surely one doesn't toss something called Blood Monkey into their DVD player with the expectation of something brilliant in return, but there's stupid and there's stupid. Audience Member Hardly even watchable through the first attempted viewing. Shockingly phoned-in on every level imaginable. Abraham fits his role well and barely carries this poor excuse for "cinema" to it's soulless and disappointing end. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/20/23 Full Review Audience Member really not that bad interesting Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/14/23 Full Review Audience Member Drawn out questing that was pointless and went no where. Shoved a bunch of action into the last 20 minutes. No understanding of the creatures, just showing how they killed everyone and that they are as intelligent as humans but are just giant animals that kill for some reason. No logic, senseless killing. Funny, giant urination scene on the humans' tents. Some funny deaths. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/24/23 Full Review Audience Member I Quite enjoy it but people the movie is STUPID!!!! Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/22/23 Full Review Audience Member Campy and poorly acted and set up, Blood Monkey is exactly what you'd expect it to be. However the movie does have a good plot, it is just poorly executed. If you aren't opposed to Monty Python-esque gore, and digital apes, it's all good. In fact, the movie is downright enjoyable provided you actually watch and think about the movie, as opposed to wishing it was more like that one movie you hold above all others. So, in essence, a good watch for people new to horror, or who enjoy a less scary movie on a rainy day. a bad watch for movie snobs.
