Mark H. Harris Black Horror Movies BloodRunners stands out for some solid, seemingly authentic use of costumes (minus Ice-T's earring) and vehicles and nicely executed set design and CGI effects, considering the budget. Mike H Not a bad movie, but not worth a 90 percent on rotten tomatoes. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 10/20/24 Full Review Crit S Not scary at all - a stupid mystery with a fat cop and an ugly whore Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 10/20/24 Full Review Wendy M Lame garbage - stick to SVU, Ice-T - vampire you are not. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 10/20/24 Full Review Jason V Not scary - they try, but it's more of a mystery than a horror Rated 1 out of 5 stars 10/17/24 Full Review Brad M Lame movie - the acting suuucked. The vampires were ok, but needed more blood Rated 1 out of 5 stars 10/17/24 Full Review Audience Member Bloodrunners was different from any other movie i've seen in a while. It successfully combined 2 of my personal favorites: period pieces and vampire films. Not since Interview with the Vampire, have I seen this combination of genres pulled off correctly or as enjoyably. Starring Ice T and Michael McFadden, Bloodrunners was filled with creative characteristics that have all the makings of being an overnight independent film phenomenon. Dare I say "Cult Classic" or maybe "Coven Classic" would be more appropriate in this instance. Either way, I digress. The casting is spot on and perfectly period! The script is surprisingly witty and will have you laughing out loud several times. In general, the storylines are enticing as well. Blood runners is filled with flashbacks, discoveries and plot twists that are conducive to the story arc and aid is fully rounded character development. I enjoyed that there are several lovable and relatable characters including 2 sets of lovers that could appeal to both adults and teenagers. (Looking at you- Twilight fans.) The sets paint the portrait of a prohibition era rural town perfectly. And the special effects are good and lend to the story without being cheesy or distracting. Overall- Bloodrunners is a MUST SEE movie that contains the perfect blend of love and laughter, villains and vampires, blood and boobs... oh, and it stars, Law and Order: SVU star, ICE-T! Believe me- you will enjoy this film! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/16/23 Full Review Read all reviews
