Tim Cogshell Boxoffice Magazine The visuals are as lingeringly rich as Carolina summers. The music is supervised by the legendary T-Bone Burnett and is authentic and poignant. Rated: 3/5 May 28, 2011 Full Review Sheri Linden Los Angeles Times Kris Kristofferson, Val Kilmer and Dwight Yoakam are compelling in beautifully lived-in, vanity-free performances, but the drama's escalating dread fizzles in a farcical pileup of disaster. Rated: 2/5 May 19, 2011 Full Review David Nusair Reel Film Reviews Bloodworth is, for the most part, dominated by uninteresting, pointless encounters and conversations. Rated: 2/4 Feb 1, 2012 Full Review Brian Orndorf BrianOrndorf.com Bloodworth has value, but there's a harsh price to be paid for the dramatic investment. I'd rather recommend a crudely shortened version of the film than no film at all. Rated: B- Jun 27, 2011 Full Review Philip Martin Arkansas Democrat-Gazette ...feels like a family myth you've heard since childhood, a story handed down through generations. Rated: 87/100 May 22, 2011 Full Review Matt Brunson Creative Loafing It's easier to get blood from a stone than to get entertainment value from Bloodworth. Brian M Underlying theme is nice, miscast actors: the young girl that was supposed to be young looked like she was 30, dating the the young nephew , who should have been someone from the south cuz his accent was just all wrong. The ending was just all wrong too, thank goodness I'm a man because we don't require closure, or was that what it was all about? Rated 2 out of 5 stars 09/18/23 Full Review Audience Member This movie is simply terrible! Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/25/23 Full Review steve d cheaply made and deeply boring the cast deserved better than this. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member Great movie love it Beautiful movie Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/25/23 Full Review Audience Member Some good acting but the actors had too little to work with here. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/25/23 Full Review Audience Member A lot more could have been done with this movie, but good bones. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/16/23 Full Review Read all reviews
