James Mudge easternKicks.com For viewers comfortable with the leisurely pace and the absence of popcorn thrills, Bluebeard has a lot to offer as a refreshingly different kind of Korean serial killer film Rated: 4/5 Oct 24, 2020 Full Review Sean Axmaker Stream on Demand South Korean filmmaker Lee Soo-young... creates an effective atmosphere of mystery and suspicion that shifts throughout the story and explores, however obliquely, issues of status and success and self-image that plague the doctor and his psyche. Dec 16, 2017 Full Review Avi Offer NYC Movie Guru An intelligent, gripping crime thriller in the vein of the great crime thrillers of the 90's like Seven and The Usual Suspects with some Hitchcockian suspense. Nicole L This kind of reminds me of of the saying, "stay at the Mental hospital for a weekend and you'll never leave." It's one of those movies that when the ending is revealed. You wanna watch the whole thing all over again. I absolutely loved it. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 03/28/24 Full Review Audience Member lovely film, they could've cranked up the gore a little bit imho but it gets the job done if you know what im sayin. watch this movie if u like suspense it's very good Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/14/23 Full Review Audience Member some plots feels rather forced than riveting, but it's a pretty good watch Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/24/23 Full Review Audience Member Cool movie. I thought I knew who the killer was from the start, but I was wrong. It keeps you guessing right til the reveal. Lots of twists and turns. Yeah it wasn't brilliant, but at least you could sit through the whole thing without asking yourself why you bothered, like a lot of other movies I've watched recently. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/18/23 Full Review Audience Member This thriller tries to have its cake and eat it too. Its starts off psychological and very Hitchcockian, but in the third act is gets a bit all over the place. Some of the logic then starts to take leaps and bounds, and it ends on an underwhelming note. Not one of the finer Korean thrillers of late. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/05/23 Full Review Audience Member Korean films, man. Amazing stuff. This one is creepy, thrilling, and a psychological mind-f**k. I loved every minute of it. If you like dark thrillers, check it out. (And shut up about subtitles! You're missing out!) Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/16/23 Full Review Read all reviews
