Chris G Occasionally tense and a little foreboding, a great story and a mesmerizing setting directed well ultimately doesn't amount to much beyond a bear fight that probably puts Leo's to shame. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/18/24 Full Review Daren A I was a Park Ranger so I was willing to give this movie a chance because it involved Rangers. It may be the worst movie I've seen in the last decade. Astonishingly bad. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/15/24 Full Review Logan D A stupid summer employee gets lost in the woods, miles away from where she was supposed to be. Unless I'm forgetting a viewing, this will likely be my worst film I viewed of the year. Poorly acted. Worse story. Stupid character. The writers should look up what a bear attack is. And many of the reviewers on RT also reviewed the director's next film positively. Hmm.... Rated 1 out of 5 stars 11/04/23 Full Review London H A good twist at the end but the beginning of the movie was really boring Rated 3 out of 5 stars 10/28/23 Full Review Ashley Laura H What on earth did I watch? The writing is laughable. The main character is so incompetent as a park ranger/outdoor explorer I was almost rooting for something to get her. It was laughable how bad this movie was. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 04/08/23 Full Review J. W The writing and acting from some of the performers felt amateurish at times. The more interesting plot points (like the portions involving Red) were over very quickly, while sequences such as the poster-hanging and the dancing through the woods at the beginning dragged on. The bear element would have been more intriguing had it been emphasized as more of a threat earlier on. In all, the film had potential, but ultimately fell short of my expectations. Katie Walsh Tribune News Service [Benjamin] nails that cheapo retro aesthetic with a story that's thematically richer and much more interesting than one might expect for the genre.
