With bills to pay and a daughter to support, Juan Villegas (Juan Villegas) is desperately in need of a job. Unfortunately, at age 52, and without any marketable skills, gainful employment seems unlikely. His luck changes when he helps a woman repair her car and she repays his kindness by giving him a pure-bred puppy. Convinced of his future in the competitive dog circuit, Villegas seeks out the help of dog trainer Walter Donado (Walter Donado) and the two take their fortunes on the road.

An odd little adventure with anti-capitalist overtones. It's sweet without being affecting and amusing without being funny. Fine for the post-roast sunday afternoon I spent watching it but nothing to write home about.

An excellent feel good movie that follows a very kind-hearted but down on his luck mechanic and craftsman, Coco, who receives a pure bred Argentine Dogo for one of his good deeds. Despite himself, Coco just can't help but help and you, as a viewer, just can't help but root for the good guy

C'est avec véhémence que Carlos Sorin nous convie à l'initiation de la vie d'un homme simple, Juan Villegas, et le cinéma espagnol ne peut que servir humblement l'objectif du réalisateur. Soit? Charmer. Et, oh mon Dieu, que dire de la musique? Tout simplement incroyable. Charmer le public par une histoire atrocement simple, mais une histoire douloureuse qui se prend avec le sourire. Celle d'un homme un peu bouffi par la vie, avec une bonne dose de volonté bien qu'il fût abandonné par Dame Chance. Sa rencontre avec Bombón, dit Le Chien, en est une fortuite, digne d'inspirer les plus beaux contes de l'humanité. Découvrons Carlos Sorin, un réalisateur simple qui sait bien nous montrer le côté simple de la vie.
