This is a B-movie through and through, but thanks in large part to a deep cast of familiar faces and reliable character actors, it's a solid crime thriller that respects the true-life blueprint of the story. Go to Full Review

This trashy trawl through a fictionalized version of the “West Mesa Murders" is the kind of dubiously moralizing exploitation exercise that makes Sound of Freedom look like a noble class act by comparison. Go to Full Review

The film is well cast, with Gibson and Van Holt leading the way. Go to Full Review

It's interesting, but you have to know going in that the basic case was never solved, and they stay true to that. Go to Full Review

The culprit behind these murders has still never been found, which this screenplay mostly uses as fodder for a bit of psycho-thriller exploitation. Go to Full Review

David M 07/07/2024 Very good story. Kept our interest. Worth seeing. See more Dave C Nov 9 Really poor casting, with 'Fiddy' seemingly reading everything from a prompter he's that bad! It's clunky, feels tired and lacking authentic energy and desire, and there's no suspense as a result. It's a sad story that could be told so much better! See more Luke G Nov 7 Absolutely woeful. Incredibly messy film with some horrific acting. See more Gerry G Sep 8 They used a chainsaw to cut this one. See more Shay W Aug 13 After the Passion of the Christ, and other movies, plus investments, Mel Gibson is apparently very wealthy. So, why appear in movies like this. The script is very wooden and a lot of the supporting cast, poor. If he wants to work, why not produce his own movies with reasonably capable people. There is a scene in the movie set 20 years back with his character's daughter. He looks exactly the same as the current day character, even down to the hairstyle and clothes. It just seems like they didn't bother making the scene realistic. There is a certain sadness or regret in seeing stars we grew up with working in work that is not of the standard we are used to. And, as a Director, apart from his last movie, Mel Gibson is right up there. See more wayne h Apr 5 I struggle to believe the comments left by the critics that have commented on this title even saw the same movie that I watched. It is a lesson in how not to make a motion picture, no third act and fraudulently lures participants into thinking they are watching a Mel Gibson movie, when he is only in half a dozen very limited scenes. There probably are worse movies, I struggle to think of one though. See more Read all reviews
