Here is a lo-fi British film about sex, acted and directed with conviction - but it's impossible to believe in any of this, making it difficult to understand either as comedy or drama. Go to Full Review

An interesting idea with a dignified central performance, Bonobo is let down by supporting characterisation and a self-conscious tone. Go to Full Review

The words 'low-budget British sex comedy' are enough to strike fear into the hardiest of hearts, but this is put together with wit and charm. Go to Full Review

An amiable and surprisingly sensitive drama anchored by a pair of strong performances from Tessa Peake-Jones and Josie Lawrence, though it’s slightly let down by its poorly-defined supporting cast. Go to Full Review

09/29/2017 Low budget comedy, but clever, full of humour and very enjoyable. The cast is perfect. We need more movies like this one See more 02/24/2015 A very pleasant and mildly funny watch, about a very strange commune based on the Bonobo, an ape from highly-sexed tribes. All the real interest comes from the changing attitude of Tessa Peake in the main role. It's a familiar story of 'repressed English middle-class reactionary goes on a journey of self-discovery', but it's an entertaining one. The eating rituals and communal hugging will either make you cringe or laugh, or both! See more Read all reviews
