The movie’s “Zodiac” running on fewer cylinders, with many pointed things to say about the difficulties faced by working women in the early 1960s but a lugubrious narrative structure that sprawls and wanders and eventually sputters out.

In the hands of a different, more confident director, Boston Strangler could have been fantastic. As it is, it just feels like Zodiac-lite, with very little to make it memorable despite a compelling mystery at its core.

Interesting thriller, which dives into the story perfectly! The only negative I have to mention is, that the jump between years is indistinguishable. You can't tell the difference between 1962 and 1973 in terms of aging, setting or anything else.

The focus on the journalist rather than the crime was mildly interesting; however, the film was ruined by the lighting director who must have been a five year old equipped with two five watt lightbulbs and a torch.

Rather tedious remake with stilted acting and cliched script - pioneering female journalist breaks serial killer story against stereotyped male journalists and indifferent police. Knightly badly miscast and unconvincing. It even has its absurd moments.
