Chris Nashawaty Entertainment Weekly Leslie Zemeckis' documentary about their curious and ultimately sad lives is a fascinating snapshot of the era of nickel-a-peek circus sideshows. Audience Member how sad, they lived such a sad life, abused and never truly loved or cared for much as children Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/24/23 Full Review bill k A touching portrait about challenged Siamese twins striving to succeed in the sleazy world of carnivals, vaudeville and burlesque. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 12/30/14 Full Review Audience Member Fascinating story Principals were very good Movie slowed down Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/17/23 Full Review Audience Member Definitely a heart-warming story about two sisters beating the odds, and about the triumph of the human "blah blah". It's definitely a very interesting watch, and director Leslie Zemeckis... wait a second is she related to Robert Zemeckis? I'll fact check later. Zemeckis does a great job of keeping the film feeling fresh and exciting by creatively using old footage with new interviews. Yes, it's a common tactic, but Zemeckis' brand seems to be a little more interesting than the usual documentary lot. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/06/23 Full Review Audience Member The last act drags a little and the score is super heavy-handed, but a lot of the actual content is super interesting. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/10/23 Full Review Audience Member A chronicle of human cruelty for those who are "different" Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/16/23 Full Review Read all reviews
