Quite good considering most of the successful attempts at this formula have had far higher budgets. However it's too drawn out and there is too much downtime between the fun bits. I mean it's hard to go wrong with brain-eating slugs and naked women, but Brain Dead tries by virtue of not having a clear idea of what it wants to be. The stereotypical characters grow tired quickly and hamstring the story from reaching its potential. The beginning and ending sequences really make it a better film overall than it deserves to be.
