Audience Member Gory and gratuitous 80's homage. Quite good considering most of the successful attempts at this formula have had far higher budgets. However it's too drawn out and there is too much downtime between the fun bits. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/20/23 Full Review Audience Member "My phone bill's higher than Whitney Houston!" Funny splatter comedy cheese. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Audience Member Meteor causes Zombies, saw it on Netflix Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/17/23 Full Review Audience Member A tongue-in-cheek horror comedy that's ok. I mean it's hard to go wrong with brain-eating slugs and naked women, but Brain Dead tries by virtue of not having a clear idea of what it wants to be. The stereotypical characters grow tired quickly and hamstring the story from reaching its potential. The beginning and ending sequences really make it a better film overall than it deserves to be. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/19/23 Full Review Audience Member 89% "Ahhhh fuck! The zombie's packin'!"-Clarence Singer (Joshua Benton) Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/17/23 Full Review Audience Member If this had been made in 1987 it woulda been cutting edge borderline B-movie madness, 1997 it would have been normalized 90s horror dreck, but 2007??? COME ON, WHO ARE YOU FOOLING. I couldn't make it past the first nine minutes. If you're 15 or younger this movie will be for you...otherwise, watch any B- or even Z-movie from the 1990s and you'll be much better for the wear, trust me. I saw a lot of the 90s independent horror films and much of it was beyond shit....however, this is intolerable for a movie made in the new millennium.
