Synopsis
In this documentary, members of noteworthy rap groups demonstrate and expound on "beatboxing," the use of a performer's mouth, throat and diaphragm to produce some of hip-hop's signature beats. Interviews with performers, archival footage, live performances and even animation present a history of this musical technique while explaining its evolution in economic, cultural and international terms and suggest that beatboxing has a universal appeal.
