Adam Nayman Toronto Star The brothers deserve credit not only for taking their story to dark places, but also for stranding it there, away from easy answers or catharsis. Rated: 2.5/4 Jun 17, 2025 Full Review Stephen Romei The Australian [Bring Her Back is] scarier without resorting to chainsaws or any of the other instruments of mayhem that on-screen psychopaths are fond of. It’s tense from start to finish and it shows [Danny and Michael Philippou's] strengths as filmmakers. Rated: 4/5 Jun 6, 2025 Full Review Rob Silverman Ascher Chicago Reader Bring Her Back is horrific perfection. Jun 6, 2025 Full Review Trace Thurman Horror Queers Podcast Gut-wrenching and profoundly tragic, Bring Her Back cements the Philippous' place as masters of grief. Rated: 3.5/5 Jun 17, 2025 Full Review Joe Lipsett Horror Queers Podcast Breakout star Billy Barratt anchors the film, which strategically uses Sally Hawkins' kooky persona against the audience. The Philippou brothers are expert at creating incredibly upsetting imagery, particularly on kids, and Bring Her Back is no different! Rated: 3.5/5 Jun 17, 2025 Full Review Candice McMillan Seattle Refined A confined, very tangible world as well as one that contains a multitude of possibilities, hiding places for evil to lurk, linger and eventually from which to lunge. Brad The whole cast did an insane job. Literally left the theatre feeling so disturbed and I loved every single second of it. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/21/25 Full Review idk Its amazing but just didn’t like the ending 😭 Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/20/25 Full Review Amanda Overall, was very well done but depressing. Had more depth than your average horror movie. A sad tale of desperation, isolation and grief with some very disturbing moments. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 06/19/25 Full Review Kevin A very high quality psychological horror with excellent shock value. The characters are compelling and their introductions were flawless. Some cliches were present later on and were fairly obvious but were executed tastefully, not detracting too much from the overall experience. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 06/19/25 Full Review Ash Production and acting is great! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/19/25 Full Review Jonathan G A little disturbing but more darkness on this movie was the best horror movie I’ve seen a good one after talk to me Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/19/25 Full Review Read all reviews
