S. R. Praveen The Hindu Despite its thin plot line and some failed gags, Bromance turns out to be a fast-paced, fun-filled ride, partly on the strength of the actors. Feb 18, 2025 Full Review Read all reviews

arvind s Arun D Jose or ADJ's third directorial reunites him with his frequent (always) collaborator, Mathew Thomas in what was supposed to be a stoner comedy but it doesn't go all the way. Set in Kochi & Coorg, Bromance is the story of Shinto, who goes missing and Binto, his younger brother goes in search of him with help from a friend, an ex-lover, an ethical hacker and a loan shark. Bromance has an ensemble cast that looked amazing on paper. Mathew Thomas stars as Binto, the younger sibling, who has anger management issues. Mathew Thomas struggles in this role with his anger issues pushing his performance into the overacting range. Sangeeth Prathap, who was brillian in Premalu stars as an ethical hacker. He is the star yet again with his wise cracks and jabs. Arjun Ashokan shines in parts and so does Kalabhavan Shajohn. Mahima Nambiar, Shyam Mohan & Binu Pappu co-star. Given the cast and the premise, Bromance could have been a brilliant road movie (some people likened it to Hangover but it just borrows one element from it). But the movie is letdown because of a lot of sub-par performances. Nevertheless it keeps you engaged with its chaotic chain of events. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/16/25 Full Review Read all reviews
