Joe Pollack St. Louis Post-Dispatch The best thing about the film is that neither director Daniel Haller nor his actors take themselves seriously, and the result is one of the more pleasant ways to spend some time. Nov 8, 2021 Full Review Ron Pennington Hollywood Reporter Frank Beascoechea's Technicolor photography is perfectly slick and glossy, and the film has been edited to an ideal 89 minutes by John J. Dumas. Apr 9, 2019 Full Review Ian Nathan Empire Magazine The only redeeming facet in the whole sappy adventure, is Erin Gray's schoolboy fantasy Wilma Deering... But even here the script is too coy and childish to allow sex appeal to reach the stars. Rated: 2/5 May 9, 2018 Full Review Starburst Staff Starburst Good fun, average to good effects, but little more. Jul 23, 2022 Full Review James Kendrick Q Network Film Desk odd, unstable mishmash of science fiction and adventure tropes that never really cohere Rated: 2.5/4 Dec 9, 2020 Full Review Matt Brunson Film Frenzy If nothing else, this silly adventure yarn has the distinction of containing the worst robot in movie or TV history. Audience Member I went with 2 1/2 stars for this movie, I only seen this movie once. I think that I might watch this movie again idk. A little info on this movie is that the movie is the first two episodes made into a movie. Twiki the robot dancing was cute, it was just like a 2 hour long episode of Buck Rodgers. I thought that it was alright and passed the time, not much to say on this movie. If you are a fan of Buck Rodgers then I think that you will like this movie. I guess that I reccomend this movie 2 1/2 stars. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/16/23 Full Review Audience Member For it's time it was on point with the concept, and entertaining. I was 8yrs old when it aired and 10yrs old when it ended, I honestly hated the fact it was. I never saw it through the eyes of an adult, so seeing it now it takes me to that place that IT WAS A GOOD SHOW, and I just finished binge watching it streaming NBC, dont judge too harshly folks, it was a entertaining show for it's time! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/20/23 Full Review Audience Member Movie didn't know what IT wanted to be, Exciting, funny, dramatic Sci-Fi? Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Audience Member Managed to grab this on 4k. Possibly one of Glen A Larson's greatest Saturday night sci-fi serial shows here in the UK when I was a kid. (Would love to see the original Battlestar Galactica in 4k). So back in the late 70's, I'd watch with my dad. All that fantastic futuristic space shenanigans with our hero Buck saving the day. Then I purchase the box set in 4k almost 40 years later, hoping to reminisce. I start watching... then realise my dad, although watching the same episode as me back in the late 70's, watched for a totally different reason. Wow, those girls costumes would be risque here in 2019... I give series 1 the 5 stars. Season 2 is a bit of a nonsense with eagle bird man and no explanation why Buck, Wilma and the gang have left earth. If you have an OLED 4K TV, experience the clarity and sharpness of this box-set. It truly is amazing seeing this 40 year old marvel in such clarity. If you're not a Buck Roger's fan, still check it out. Seeing Erin Grey in a tight body suit will make you understand why your dad wanted Buck Roger's on when you were not so bothered.... Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/24/23 Full Review peter m This is a surprisingly good move. The story is good, if simple, and the acting, if not epic, is enjoyable. This is a movie which i can rewatch, which put it in a rare class of movie. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member When placed next to movies made today, it may come off a little cheesy., however, I did love this movie. Story was there, good actors, and for the time, the special effects were alright. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/25/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
