Dashing British sleuth Captain Hugh "Bulldog" Drummond (Ronald Colman) finds himself immersed in another adventure when he stumbles upon a corpse in the mysterious London mansion of Prince Achmed (Warner Oland). Enlisting the help of his old friend Algy (Charles Butterworth) and the beautiful Lola (Loretta Young), Drummond uncovers a scheme to ship illegal cargo into the country. He must rely on his cunning to survive when the prince offers a reward for his capture.

Helen Brown Norden Vanity Fair It starts out as a regulation thriller, brightened up with comedy touches and occasional smart dialogue; but along toward the end, what with everyone in the cast kidnaped from one house to another, and back again, it turns into out and out slapstick.
