Phi S I liked the practical stage effects and the digital cut scenes. The film had an incredible amount of mood and atmosphere, comparative with the very first Ridley Scott, Alien. The acting wasn't bad, like when the TSR Marshal kissed the doctor, I felt it worked. It's lonely out in space and that ship was bleak and cold. The direction was well done, I felt the gloom and cold. I could see where the plot was going so I didn't finish the movie, I might later, but it was predictable. I didn't think this detracted from the film too much. I've seen worse films in the genre. What passes for 'B' rate Science Fiction adventures these days is pitiful, but this movie really held my attention, mainly because of its look and feel. The journey through space was authentic and I was sympathetic toward the characters. It lost a star and a half, because there just wasn't enough substance to the storytelling. I'd watch it, if you are anything like a space junkie, such as myself. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 07/30/25 Full Review Orlando C Well, guess i'm the first reviewer of this film. I thought it was a serviceable sci-fi film. It's a Swiss film in German. Thought it was a little low stakes though. There just wasn't enough of the humanity despair aspect to flesh out the major plot theme revealed towards the end of the 3rd act. Also the build up in the first two acts was a bit forced i thought. The third act also tried to ramp up the human drama and emotional jeopardy but that seemed a little forced too. But somehow all those negatives didn't negate other aspects of the movie like the actual plot, special effects and characters. Again, all workman like, but entertaining enough. Definitely worth a watch, but although it'll be entertaining, don't be surprised if you feel like an important ingredient was left out of the recipe.
