Claudio C Caveat (2020) Weird and Creepy (12,064 – 14 Nov 2025 – by Claudio Carvalho) Moe Barrett (Ben Caplan) visits the amnesiac Isaac (Jonathan French) and tells him that he is his friend. He offers 200 Euro per day to Isaac babysit his niece Olga (Leila Sykes) since she is schizophrenic and he does not want to leave her alone. On arrival, Isaac learns that Olga is living in a derelict house in a secluded island. Further, Moe requires that Isaac wears a chained leather harness to restrain his access to places of the house, such as Olga’s room. He also learns that Olga’s mother is missing and her father was claustrophobic and committed suicide when he was locked in the basement. When Moe leaves the house, Olga wanders inside the house with a creep toy rabbit and carries a crossbow with her, Meanwhile Isaac retrieves his lost memory while hunted by supernatural events and the insane Olga. "Caveat" (2020) is a weird and creepy horror story by Damian Mc Carthy. All the characters are weird and the toy rabbit wearing a pair of glasses beating a drum is eerie. The dirty and derelict house is also creepy and creates a scary environment. Although not a masterpiece, this B-movie is interesting to see. My vote is six. While this is a much less succinct movie, and left me with several unanswered questions at the end, the overall effect was fantastically suspenseful and the plot reveals were well timed and kept me interested. A little bit lagging in the middle, but beginning and end made up for it. Maybe if it hadn't been recommended as the scariest movie they've seen, by multiple people I would say it was an okay movie. The jump scares weren't really even jump scares (makeup wasnt done very well). Plot made sense, but how it was done didn't make sense to me (why didn't characters do different things multiple times in the movie that would make more sense?) I wish they would have done more things with that drumming bunny, to me that would have been scary and build suspense. Faster direction changes with less scary music at the wrong times and more scary music at the right times. Felt like they were trying to build up suspense where there was none or way to early. Would I watch again? No, but was done well for what I presume to be a very low budget film. They had certain aspects that were great but didn't use them.
