Wellington C Feb 5 To be honest, I had misguided expectations about the film's theme, so the beginning was confusing and a bit boring at times. But it didn't take that much long for me to become fully engaged with everything it presented. A family drama that goes through mystery, fantasy, comedy, romance, and even suspense. Some scenes made me want to jump off a cliff, and others just felt too close to my own. One of the few negative points worth noting: the editing is inconsistent. As much as I enjoyed the different genres, which made the story dynamic, the editing is distracting. Still, a great film, with a great family story and good performances. The story is not just about Phillip's life but also those around him. It's filled with emotions. The pain and chaos of a disfunctional family,that best friend that you couldn't be without growing up, first love, betrayal, hope and resilience. The message is simple: be vulnerable, dare to love but have the courage to move on if they are not right for you. It is bittersweet, but then again most gay romance stories are.
