The movie is controversial. There are good scenes and amazing cinematography. But overall very long and boring. The conflict of the protagonist appears only at the end of the film. The side plot lines are very weak and do not support the main plot in any way. As always, the director tried to go on beautiful actors, but I don't think that this saved a bad script.

The cast was beautiful, the acting top notch and the story is interesting and just complex enough. The story is not just about Phillip's life but also those around him. It's filled with emotions. The pain and chaos of a disfunctional family,that best friend that you couldn't be without growing up, first love, betrayal, hope and resilience. The message is simple: be vulnerable, dare to love but have the courage to move on if they are not right for you. It is bittersweet, but then again most gay romance stories are.

It is a beautiful, sentimental and delicate film. The film takes the time to evolve the main character and demonstrate the image that, in my opinion, we should all have in life.
