DIEGO W Walter Salles' film Central Station is regarded as his best to date and is praised globally for its powerful story and portrayal. The film, which is primarily set in the northeast, deftly employs clichés and generalizations to emotionally engage viewers while showcasing a variety of locales. This universality enables a profound emotional connection between the story and viewers of all backgrounds. As the lead character, Dora, one of Brazil's best actresses, Fernanda Montenegro, gives a performance that will never be forgotten. It's reasonable to argue that one of Walter Salles' most creative choices was to cast Fernanda Montenegro, whose performance is crucial to the success and praise of the movie. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/18/24 Full Review Stephanie V I really love this movie. One of the best! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/17/24 Full Review Mellissa R Realmente mecheu cmg, amo dms, esse filme é a razão do meu orgulho de ser brasileira. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/27/24 Full Review Alec B A moving road trip film and although it is cliched the performances and narrative structure obscure that long enough until you are so invested in the characters that it simply doesn't matter. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/20/24 Full Review Ian B The photography, the story, Fernanda Montenegro, just sublime.
