SOMDVD Rated 3.5/5 Stars •  Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/21/23 Full Review Audience Member Despite starting out with a good story about a character whose friendliness to a young Joey Laurence helps him deal with the loss of his own son, Chains of Gold falls apart very paced and becomes unstructured, unbalanced, repetitive and very cliche. And John Travolta's performance is barely half decent. A little heavy handed for my liking; LA could use more social workers like Scott Barnes, although ability with paperwork and enforcing red tape and bureaucracy are move valued traits in the department.
