Audience Member I think I made it 15 minutes and it hurt too much to keep going. A bunch of pretentious pricks n overactors... The sister gave me deep cringes. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 11/04/22 Full Review Audience Member I don't blame the director. The cinematography is great. The script mediocre. But the lead cast and the relationship aspect of the film did not work at all. the director should've worked more with the lead guy and girl. I didn't believe their relationship. The movie is very slow to watch. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/13/23 Full Review Audience Member If were a jew in America in 1940 and had to watch this movie, I'd move to Germany. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/17/23 Full Review Audience Member Great film, honest and refreshing look at the life of the privileged UES. Thoroughly enjoyed! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/11/23 Full Review Audience Member Very pretentious from the beginning to the end, the male characters covered their totall douchebag-ness with a last "heroic" act of generosity letting "their" women go. And the female characters felt like a man was trying really hard to write a strong female character but failed miserably. Overall, a study of the broken relationships of the bored, affluent elites. Not bad enough to stop watching, but bad enough to comment on. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/12/23 Full Review Audience Member I liked it! Chris Noth great as self-absorbed author-professor. Actually, the whole cast was good, fine acting. Good story. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/26/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Frank Scheck Hollywood Reporter Resembling a Philip Roth novel that the author had the good sense to leave unpublished, Chronically Metropolitan leaves no clich unturned in its depiction of the social and romantic travails of a group of Upper East Side New Yorkers. Aug 7, 2017 Full Review Ken Jaworowski New York Times Several times in "Chronically Metropolitan," a man stares at a screen as nothing happens. You'll know just how he feels. Aug 3, 2017 Full Review Gary Goldstein Los Angeles Times Schutt's puckish script largely skims the surface of its too-familiar characters' navel-gazing plights, rarely sweeping us into their privileged universe. Aug 3, 2017 Full Review Danielle Solzman Solzy at the Movies Chronically Metropolitan is a coming-of-age dramedy but it doesn't come without some cynicism. Nov 26, 2017 Full Review Nick Davis Film Inquiry Chronically Metropolitan is a quirky romantic indie about life in New York City; though not perfect, it's reasonably enjoyable. Aug 29, 2017 Full Review Anthony Ray Bench Film Threat Generally, I enjoyed this film quite a bit. I don't have a lot of issues with this one aside from Addison Timlin's less than stellar acting and her character's useless part in the story. Rated: 8/10 Aug 9, 2017 Full Review Read all reviews
