Nathan Rabin AV Club Low-energy and grindingly mediocre, it adds a whole new dimension to Harlin's wildly uneven oeuvre: tedium. Rated: C May 28, 2008 Full Review Richard Roeper Ebert & Roeper I did like the dynamic between Samuel L. Jackson and Keke Palmer. I'd like to see them play father and daughter in the better film. May 27, 2008 Full Review Michael Rechtshaffen The Hollywood Reporter A neatly contained crime whodunit with a nifty setup and an expert lead performance from Samuel L. Jackson. It's mild sauce from the first frame to the last. Rated: C- May 20, 2008 Full Review Read all reviews

Stephen C Success in 1 hour and 32 minutes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Rated R for Language, Bloody Images and Some Violence!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/20/25 Full Review thiago s Filme fraco, o roteiro é fraco, as cenas são fracas, a história é fraca, o elenco é fraco, e ninguém ajuda a melhorar o filme, os personagens são fracos, e o filme deveria ter cenas bem melhores e relevantes, para fazer o filme ser bom Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 07/03/25 Full Review Mike F I didn't think Samuel L Jackson appeared in bad films. I couldn't watch beyond the halfway mark. It was slow and a hard to believe plot. Is it possible that there are enough gruesome killings in America to warrant a specialist to clean up? I have to say the graphic depiction of the gore was one of the things that put me off. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 06/26/25 Full Review Alain E Good actors have to work with an increasingly impossible plot. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 06/18/25 Full Review Stoner J So mediocre just because of the decisions Jackson makes throughout. The worst being that he didn’t immediately tell the police how he got a call to clean up a dead body crime scene when he found out the next day that there was no detective Jones who ordered him to or that even exists. Instead he proceeds to hide everything and lie about everything making him look like the guilty party. Stupid. But also, after Jackson found a ledger of dirty cops on the take and they start harassing him, he doesn’t go to the Feds with all that damning crap he has instead just aimlessly wanders around aloof the whole time. It is a fairly entertaining noir nonetheless but man, the writing of the plot just lacks sense Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/14/25 Full Review Thomas S Neat thriller and a great cast Rated 4 out of 5 stars 12/25/24 Full Review Read all reviews
