Audience Member The chinese title is "Gui Yao Gui". Not a sequel. Some good fight scenes and good magic display. Lam Ching Ying is the master of Sammo Hung. Sammo and Mimi Kung is running from Mang Hoi gang hired by her father Yip Wing-Cho. Lam ask them to hide in a eerie house. A vampire awaken when moonlight shine on the coffin. The vamp like Wang. Sammo ask her to escape. The female vampire awaken. She like Sammo. They all bite each other. Turns out to be a dream. In fact, Mang is also Lam disciple. They go to the restaurant for tea. A rich man Lam Man-Chung always pester Mimi. She was bethrone to Sammo since birth. He frame Sammo of putting grasshopper in his soup. He ask him to go out fight. LMC have a wizard Huang Ha with him, he eat a pill and become agile like a monkey. Mang saw the black magic and take a dog to frighten the monkey. Yip blame Sammo for fighting again in his place and tell him to prepare many gifts for the marriage. Lam give him some money to rent a stall for business. The owner open a big inn selling the same food. A ghost Wang Wen Jun buy from Sammo and pay in ghost money. He go after her and find out she buy it for her mother who's alive and blind but no idea Wang is dead, ask Sammo to act as the cousin and stay with him. Mang ask if she can help punish LMC and she agree. Wang transform into Mimi and follow him home. Huang know she is ghost. She pass all LMC antique vases to the duo below. LMC paste a amulet on her and she reveal her form. She's nearly rape and the duo save her along with Lam. Lam is angry to be accuse of using ghost for fortune. He want to subdue Wang and also tell the mother she's dead. Sammo punch Lam and defend her. Lam ask heaven if he is wrong let there be thunder and it happen. He is willing to help Wang. Huang do black magic on Sammo and send 2 corpse to attack. The cockroach freak him out and his soul left the body. Huang catch his soul and put inside a piglet. Wang temporarily possess Sammo, Lam and Mang go find his soul. Huang attack their place and Wang is no match for him. LMC bring Yip and Mimi to see Sammo in this state. Lam came in time to save Wang from demolition. They found the piglet and bring back his soul. Wang is half dead and Mang transfer his energy to her. Huang do spell on Yip to kill Sammo but is subdue. Lam fight Huang and win. Yip is badly poison from the spell. The trio set off to find Huang. He put the anitdote inside LMC stomach and control a group of mummies to fight. Lam found their weak point is navel. Next up is 2 snake man and Lam is poison. The trio combine and burn Huang to death. They bring back LMC. This Is A Stand Alone Sequel & Has No Relation To The 1980 Film Apart From Some Of The Cast. This Film Has It's Great Moments, Smartly Written & Features Some Great Choreographed Fight Scenes. I think I first saw this around 20 years ago now at an all-night filmfest called 'Black Sunday'. It blew my mind and helped fuel my compulsion for getting countless Hong Kong movies on VHS for the next 10 years. Hopping Vampires! Possession! A beautiful Ghost! Zombies! Cockroaches! Mummies! Chinese Black Magic! Knockabout comedy and fantastic kick-ass fighting! It's all here! Funnier and more action packed than the original. Educational too - How do you stop an advancing "Mummy"? Although not a direct sequel, many of the same actors return for more ghostly encounters and magical hijinks. The story is still pretty strong, as Sammo plays Po, a chubby loser who is engaged to the beautiful Pearl. A sneaky rich boy villain Sze and his dark wizard companion attempt to mess things up, and it's up the fabulous Lam Ching-ying as a good magic wielding master to save him. The plot manages to keep a heartfelt angle with a side plot of a ghost trying to take care of her sick mother. Throw is some hilarious scenes such as a zombie midget and you have comedic gold. They also do not skimp on the action, Collin Chou has a small role as a snake man fighter and he fights Sammo Hung.
