Critics Consensus

Although its emotional swings occasionally miss, Clouds soars higher than most young adult films -- and proves director Justin Baldoni's mastery behind the camera.

David D This movie gave me a fresh perspective on life: we aren’t guaranteed a tomorrow, so we should strive to achieve our dreams now because time isn’t endless. We often live as if we’re invincible, assuming we have all the time in the world, but the reality is different. We shouldn’t wait for the threat of death to start truly living. This film made me realize that. The story itself is bittersweet. While we see the protagonist achieve his dreams in the little time he has left, he doesn’t get to enjoy them for long. The cinematography was solid, with some impressive transitions, and the performances by the cast were captivating, showcasing a range of deep emotions. The music, which is central to the movie, was well-chosen and executed. The catchy tunes will make you want to explore the album and songs that inspired the film. Overall, it’s a fantastic movie. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 10/04/24 Full Review Albert W Gonna have to do it... give this one my rare and coveted 5 star rating. Very unusual... but yeah, I think this one deserves it. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/19/24 Full Review John B Amazing true life story about a teenage boy Zach Sobiech and the battle he has with bone cancer and how he touches millions with his music as he legacy carries on even to this day. Touching and heart wrenching, but still wonderful to watch with a cast of some familiar names that bring this to life, great job everyone and Disney Rated 4 out of 5 stars 07/04/23 Full Review Nuria A This film is perfect for people who like reflect on life. It is based on real events about the life of Zach Sobiech, directed by Justin Baldoni. This movie is about a teneger diagnosed with rare bone cancer and enjoys the last days of his life trying to achieve a dream: to be a singer. And that dream starts when a video of a song with his best friend goes viral. The name of the film cames from one song of Zach: Clouds. It appear in the film and we can also hear in platforms like Spotify or Youtube. "You must not know that you are going to died to start living". It is one of the teachings that the film gives us and that marks us. It is completely a movie that will move you and make you think about life. I cried when I saw it and I I would see it again without thinking twice.Without a doubt, a film that is worth seeing.
