Audience Member Perhaps Vancouver being one of the warmest places in Canada, was not the best setting for a film called Cold Front, and despite constant references to bleak winters there's no snow or frost to be found in this disappointing thriller. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/06/23 Full Review Audience Member ★★1/2 (out of four) Fait suspense thriller that offers some talented actors and okay plot twists, but it is mostly pretty generic and unremarkable in its simplicity. Martin Sheen stars as John Hyde, an American drug agent who is on assignment in Vancouver, British Columbia. He is partnered with a Canadian Mountie named Derek McKenzie (Michael Ontkea). Together they are pursuing a freelance hitman who has added serial killer to his list of crimes. John Hyde finds that things start to get very personal, very fast. His wife (Beverly D'Angelo) has just become the killers next target. No surprises here...and that's much of its problem.
