Casey Stein (Nicholas Hoult) agrees to hijack a shipment of cocaine for his old boss (Ben Kingsley) in return for money to pay for his girlfriend Juliette's (Felicity Jones) transplant. Unfortunately, those drugs belong to Hagen Kahl (Anthony Hopkins), Germany's most powerful kingpin. Kahl seeks revenge by kidnapping Juliette and sending his goons after Stein. Casey must now race against time in a desperate attempt to save the woman he loves.

With tricky flashbacks and dodgy accents throwing sand in the engine, this car-chase thriller stutters and sputters a fair bit before it gets going. Yet when Hoult's fugitive hero hits the autobahn, the movie delivers an exhilarating turn of speed.

I'm really sorry but I can't understand the negative reviews for this movie. Sure, it's not Citizen Kane but what is (apart from Citizen Kane)? This is a terrific action movie with a great cast. So good to see Sir Anthony and Sir Ben chewing the scenery, and Nicholas Hoult and Felicity Jones are terrific. Turn your brains off and enjoy!!

The main reason it's got such a low score is because there's so many cheats in it so it lesses it as a decent above average film. Had it had a more honest and better director it could have achieved 4 glorious stars.

Not B-Grade, not A-List, just S-Tier. 4.5* Such a simple movie, that puts so much complex important details into scenes that go unnoticed except to ensure the way the antagonist and protagonists behave in a believable consistent manner. I've not gone out of my way to watch it but I've seen it several times now and enjoyed it each time for different and the same reasons. The only part that I find outlandish is the one scene with the German police acting like American SWAT in the train station. Could be considered B-Grade but only because it has such an eclectic mix of actors. The script, direction and acting is so well done.

Really a surprise hit. Ben Kingsley playing such a funny character in this movie. Good action movie with awesome scenery from Cologne Germany. Great movie to watch with a buddy when the wife's are sleeping. 😁

Nicholas Hoult and the action pieces are really top notch and engrossing - worth watching just for that. If you can accept the scaffolding setup around those elements it is very enjoyable and satisfying. However if you want a film that has it all, it doesn't quite work. The chemistry between the characters really seem to lack sparkle and aliveness. Most the talent seem to fade into the background as compared to other films.
