Phil Hoad Guardian Despite all three leads pulling their weight, the scenes only build up tepid dramatic heat and offer no real Rashomon-style perspective shifts. Feb 15, 2022 Full Review Frank Swietek One Guy's Opinion Catholics know that in their sacrament of reconciliation, the penitent must recite an act of contrition and perform a penance meted out by the officiating priest. Everyone involved with Confession should be expected to do the same. dan r 2022's 'Confession', is a film which, pretty much, plays out in real time and recently dropped onto Netflix. SYNOPSIS: 'One church, one priest, a wounded man and his loaded gun. An intense thriller played out in real time during one night where a vengeful confession must take place.' This is a patchy thriller which has an intriguing set up and which should deliver so much more. It's a gimmick movie which unfortunately doesn't deliver said gimmick. My confession is I should have given this a wide pass. 3/10 Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Suspense, twists, excellent actors!
