MIKE M I saw this movie in a theater in MA when it first came out. Full disclosure I was in the Director's previous film (Surprise, Surprise!) and am friendly with him (Crosby Tatum). I found Confused by Love to be a nice and strong advancement in film technique as far as story structure, cinematography, etc from Crosby's first film. Perhaps the smaller cast and tighter storyline in Confused by Love helped with that. In any event, CBL is more "seriocomic" than straight-out comedy (as Surprise! Surprise! was). CBL could be thought of as similar in tone to movies like The Best Man, I Think I Love My Wife and The Brothers. The cast in CBL is strong and believable, the characters' relationships and motivations are multi-layered and make sense. Overall, a good watch.
