Kim Newman Empire Magazine A good British sci-fi thriller that makes good use of tight spaces. Rated: 3/5 Sep 10, 2015 Full Review Leslie Felperin Guardian While the dialogue is tainted by a few panic-thriller platitudes, and it is clear first-time director Neil McEnery-West needs to work on coaxing the best from actors, this is a zippy, clean-cut work. Rated: 3/5 Sep 10, 2015 Full Review Anton Bitel Sight & Sound like [REC] or The Mist (both 2007) but without the monsters, as a beleaguered society turns on itself and destroys its own hope. Jul 23, 2015 Full Review Richard Propes TheIndependentCritic.com I found myself most captivated by Sheila Reid whose performance is simultaneously vulnerable, self-assured and immensely satisfying. Rated: 3.0/4.0 Sep 5, 2020 Full Review Phil W. Bayles One Room With A View Alarmingly frank but refreshingly optimistic, Containment tells a great many inconvenient truths but its coda assures us that all is not lost. Rated: 4/5 May 10, 2019 Full Review Sophie WIng One Room With A View Its sense of unease and likeable cast make Containment a diverting way to spend an hour or two; if you're looking for more, you might want to search elsewhere. tripti g Small scale movie, definitely catches the British reaction to a supposed virus in an apartment complex. I think the characters could have had more of a background story as it did get a bit slow at times. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Manny P "Gets by on resourcefulness and sincerity" says the guy from the Radio Times ? He has virtually nothing in his living room but a "sculpture" and the windows won't open, ergo !? The front door is glued shut and he has a hammer ? Utter nonsense. The opening titles were well done though ……. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 09/07/21 Full Review Audience Member The movie had a great potential but became quite boring and slow. Also, poor choice of characters. All immature, winning men, borderline drama queens till we got bored of that behavior. Also, there are mistakes in the plot and in the occurrence of the facts and it becomes really difficult for the public to follow the story. I appreciate the effort but I would have stuck to 7 or 8 good episodes than 13 long and boring ones. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/22/23 Full Review Audience Member One of the best small-scale holdup movies I've seen. It just had a problem with a small piece of glass, but that's about it on what it does really badly. Overall, this movie was a good and accurate depiction of what it might be like to be in a situation like this, and it ends on a somber message which is also good. I would recommend this movie to people not spoiled like little brats that need their Marvel fix or something that needs to have flying superheros and neon colors to get their giggles and drool. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/25/23 Full Review Audience Member 🥳Celebrating Day 6 of Voluntary Quarantine with Containment 🥳 The movie suffers from terrible characters that have no depth. The story also doesn't make much sense and feels very incomplete. There are many plot holes. There was some good cinematography and mystery, too bad it was underdeveloped. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/30/23 Full Review Audience Member Fergus Stapleton. Good allround low budget film here. Everything a film like this should be really with a good cast, well used tight location, interesting story and exciting moments. Builds well to good if fairly open ending. Group of people trapped in high rise appartment while sinister orange suited people move around on ground below. Short, Sharp entertaining 77 minutes here. Really liked this one.
