09/01/2010 If you don't like low budget movies...don't watch this. If you want to watch a good crappy movie about three people at a make-shift meth lab in the middle of the woods...watch it. This is the story of a couple who have stolen a large amount of pseudoEphedrine from some undisclosed dangerous source as payback for being treated like shit by them. They make their way to an old abandoned farm house and set up shop. The story is pretty straight forward from there on the two stay up for days and days smoking, snorting, and shooting their fantastic crystal meth. As the story progresses the characters are seized by intense paranoia and board up the house from the inside putting locks on the doors and windows and blacking them out so that the house is in a constant twilight. The atmosphere this creates is thick and disturbing and I could almost believe the actors were actually doing crystal meth they had thier twitches and fast talking down so well. Strange things start to happen in the house. At some point in the story every character hears the sound of children laughing and finds that a room upstairs is cursed with a window that won't stay closed. Eventually the man sets up an elaborate boobie trap with blades and pullies that is supposed to catch whoever is opening the window on them when they aren't looking. As their paranoia increases they start to take more an dmor eof the drugs so that they can stay awake in case THEY show up. Everyone starts to hallucinate at this point and sees and hears things all over the house. The group chases thier own shadows around the hose for some time. But that alone doesn't make a good movie. This movie was lacking in a few other ingredients. The plot, I would like to say was cardboard, but in actual fact it was very complex. It was difficult to follow the back stories of the characters. and it was always unclear as to whether or not the people in the house were ghosts or hallucnation. This movie was watchable and the mood and plot alone makeit owrth renting See more 09/01/2010 THIS HAS SPOILERS, BUT NOTHING THAT YOU CAN?T FIGURE OUT IF YOU READ THE DESCRIPTIONS OF THE MOVIE OR A BRAIN. I just decided to watch this movie on a whim. I guess Breaking Bad has spoiled me into thinking some people who want to use Meth as a subject might know what they're doing. I couldn't make it through the first 40 minutes. There was nothing of any real interest happening in that time. It turned me off and I missed out on what must have been good info for the ending, which I still think wasn't fully explained. And the interplay between actors was stiff. Even with the low production values, it still just stuck with the corny visuals and offered nothing really creative. You can pass on this one. See more 03/23/2010 The movie seems to aspire toward a level it cannot reach because of, in the first place, lack of proper talent. Bad directing, lousy script and, at least partly as a result of all that, less-than-impressive acting add up to simply too dull an affair, almost unbearable to sit through. It had it's moments, but just not enough 'happening', all comes down to camera movement, freeky atmosphere and nervous behaving characters.... and about 3/4 thru the movie it started to get kinda silly.
