Mike (Daniel Wu) is a good cop, until he's sent to work undercover in the Hong Kong triads. Once he gets a taste for the violence, power and greed of organized crime, he's desperate for more, much to the pleasure of his vicious mob boss, Yum (Eric Tsang). Mike's fortunes change when a femme fatale crosses his path, in the form of Yum's girl, Pauline (Suki Kwan). Soon, he's betraying both the police and the triad, and is quickly in over his head, on a fast path to an early grave.

Audience Member great for late night movie watching! Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/10/23 Full Review Audience Member Cool undercover cop story. Bit of Scarface, bit of Infernal Affairs. It's not bad, there is a good cast featuring Wu, Tsang and Lam, the acting is decent, and directing is adequate. But, there's nothing extraordinary. No slow mo? Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Audience Member Voiceover and a jazzy soundtrack gives Marco Mak's Cop On A Mission a certain noirish tint, but Mak's firm roots as editor in the b-movie ghetto proves a greater influence both visually and narratively, resulting in some pretty awkward exploitation shots and a more than shallow psychological profile of Daniel Wu's character. The film's darker edges makes it intensely watchable however, and it easily turns into another one of those guilty pleasures from the not so classy side of HK cinema. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/29/23 Full Review Audience Member "i talk about righteous. you can't speak cantonese properly and you talk righteous?" LOL!!! for a slice of retro hk crime cinema this film's for you. :D girls will like the film exploiting wu's traits. i just enjoy the direction, ambience, and more! Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/26/23 Full Review Audience Member Cop on a Mission is an excellent movie of a good cop turned Yukaza. This movie was so good I had to buy it just for the Daniel Wu shower scenes! (drools) Talk about naked and hot. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/31/23 Full Review Audience Member underrated film in my opinion. Eric Tsang gives one of his best performances, a la Infernal affairs level but more screentime and deeper character. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/14/23 Full Review Read all reviews
