HT Truly enjoyed this suspenseful Western! Rated 4 out of 5 stars 11/06/22 Full Review MisterDer I highly recommend this directorial debut from Isaiah Washington. It is a slice of life tale of real-life US Deputy Marshall Bass Reeves. I admired his efforts to make this film with little support from the industry. The setting is in Texas, in the 1890's and Bass Reeves is tired, but still fighting. There's yet another adversary out there causing terror, and this time, Reeves is also a specific target. No more spoilers, go see this in the theaters, and you will thank me later. This is NOT family friendly. Some profanity, and the violence is plentiful, but amazingly, not visceral. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/19/22 Full Review Judy the movie was left to the viewer to figure out what was going on. Very little dialog or plot. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 09/11/22 Full Review Flick B Yet another failed desperate attempt at sampling the dated directorial edginess of a Tarantino flick and trying to turn it into a blockbuster action adventure like Mission Impossible. Nothing groundbreaking here. Completely forgetful film. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/16/24 Full Review Bob H This was a terrible movie with awful actors. Very disappointing to see such a high audience score. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/06/24 Full Review Alex C It was painful to watch.
