Audience Member One of my favorite Ingrid Bergman films. The film's simple plot follows a mysterious gentleman landing in the middle of an eccentric cast of characters, all of whom are suspicious of this man being the dangerous jewel thief who had been terrorizing Stockholm. The film has infectious charm and wit. It's impossible not to smile at the follies of these characters, and delight in Bergman's hilarious portrayal of the lovely chambermaid.
