Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/04/23 Full Review Audience Member Made 20 years BEFORE GoodFellas, Peter Boyle, Eli Wallach, Henry Winkler and many not shown on RT's credits star in this fantastic MOB film. Made by Dino Di Laurentiis, the producer which years would bring so many great and not so great films to the screen. It is based on the real life events of Joseph Gallo, a mobster member of the Colombo crime family. The soundtrack is great and period too. It sure looks like Martin Sorscese STOLE the idea for GoodFellas after seeing this film! It appears way too much like it. INFO: Joseph Gallo (April 7, 1929 - April 7, 1972), also known as "Crazy Joey" and "Joe the Blond", was a New York City gangster for the Profaci crime family, later known as the Colombo crime family. Gallo and his crew would initiate one of the bloodiest mob conflicts since the Castellammarese War of 1931. His brothers were Larry Gallo and Albert "Kid Blast" Gallo. The rise and fall of a Mafia gangster, baseRevealing mistakes: It is a 1963 Cadillac Coupe DeVille.d on the life of murdered New York gangster "Crazy" Joey Gallo. The men are riding in a car. They begin to sing along with an opera that is playing on the radio. The car arrives at it's destination, a charcoal grill. When they exit the car it is plain to see that the car hasn't even been built yet. This IS a killer film. Want to see the first GoodFellas? See this. Incredible and strong mob film.
