Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Audience Member Lightly comic take on reforming criminals with a very English 'class' take on proceedings. The style of the film is very familiar for a mid-20th century comedy from Britain - nice but not overly humorous. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/06/23 Full Review Audience Member (63%) A very fun, early 60's British crime comedy featuring a good cast and plenty of laughs, many of them more than a bit childish. On a rainy Sunday afternoon this is pretty much perfect entertainment. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/25/23 Full Review Audience Member Typical early British 'character' comedy, it's not 'School for Scoundrels' and after a promising beginning starts to wilt. No mention of its stars Leslie Philips, Stanley Baxter or Wilfred Hyde-White in the cast list which is odd. Try and spot a very young Dennis Waterman. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/15/23 Full Review Audience Member Daffy, paper thin comedy put over by a cast of expert British players. Julie Christie in her first film radiates star quality as a pert and very beautiful showgirl. An actress of limitless ability she shows an adeptness for comedy that was under utilized throughout her career. While all the performers are terrific and amusing James Robertson Justice is great in a tiny cameo as a department store owner.
