Birgit S This isn't among the worst Christmas movies I've ever seen, but really not a good one either. Now some might be attributed to the German dubbing, that lines just felt off, the acting not natural at all. But the mimics of some background characters that were just blank, the singing that wasn't really good at all - especially the audition take on the bridge - and the lighting mistakes - including one reflections of fairy lights when the prince was standing on the stage for his speech - that was just the movie being cheap. It also felt as if the King and Queen were badly aged to look old enough to have a son that old - though that was a story that might have worked better for twentysomething characters instead of fourtysomething, even though I like it that middle aged main characters are becoming more common in romances now. As for the story - well, let's be honest, people who watch Christmas movies don't expect a well crafted story with elements that are new or surprising. That a prince has never been seen by the press in 40+ years of his life seems odd and the rest of the story is generic, but it does fit the Christmas movie purpose. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 11/10/24 Full Review Hilife Health Care r A very good movie. Yes it's a GAF production, but much like previous Hallmark movies. A semi corny scene play, good acting by the leads and supporting cast and simply a fun 90 minutes. Cindy Busby is just Cindy Busby, so entertaining. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/02/24 Full Review Sue G Not so good. Overacted and low budget. I just vetted my teeth to get to the end of it. Hoping for improvement. It did not appear. Don't waste your time.
