Audience Member Super cheap werewolf movie (think UNDERWORLD with a budget of $100). It does have Leapin' Lanny Poffo, the Blue Meanie, and (not enough) Darian Caine. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/20/23 Full Review Audience Member One of the worst film ever made in b-movie history Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/17/23 Full Review Audience Member curse of wolf movie poster curse of the wolf actor&cast darian caine pamela sutch lanny poffo brian heffron renee porada Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/16/23 Full Review Audience Member This movie really had me glued to the tv. I was so into this move. There were some suspenseful, hilarious and hand sweatin moments in this movie. Very good suspense movie. I highly recommend this movie to everyone who deserves to see a really good suspenseful movie. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/18/23 Full Review Audience Member Somewhat ineptly made microbudget horror film made by people with more ambition that money. The plot is a mish-mash of elements from other (better) werewolf movies, incl. but not limited to Ginger Snaps, The Howling and even The Wolf Man. One of the things that always makes an independent (and this is a REAL independent film, not a slick Hollywood film released by the "independent" subsidiary of a major studio...) seem cheap are sound effects. The (poorly choreographed) fight scenes in this film have the kind of sound effects you get off a sound board from the first website you googled. The punches and kicks etc. look phony enough as it is, but they sound ever more fake. Still, films released by Brain Damage films are often made with a bit more care and talent than, say, the average Todd Sheets or Ulli Lommel film (even though Lommel usually has a much bigger budget), and so Curse of the Wolf is not completely without merit. It's not good by any means, but it's nowhere near as bad as it could have been... Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Read all reviews
