Linda Darnell offers a feisty portrait of a traveling performer and is amazingly lovely. Her sharp work elevates this above the run of the mill. Linda Darnell is striking as the love interest and Dale Robertson is fun as the anti-hero - but there is little else to distinguish this from the plethora of westerns out there.
