Although there is one fictional character that feels tacked on and there are some tonal shifts that could have been handled better, Dallas Buyers Club is an authentic, emotionally rich and thought provoking biographical drama that is phenomenally acted by Matthew McConaughey and Jared Leto.

It gave an insiders account of the situation people with HIV or AIDS have to go through to get medication. The ugly truth of not on being condemned by others but not being able to get treatment because it's so costly. The characters were flushed out and well designed. It was very entertaining. I truly enjoyed it.

Based on the real-life Ron Woodrow, the battle against prejudice, AIDS, and medical practice is still as relevant as it was all those years ago! As a man attempts to fight against the inevitable, he gives others hope with his will and his charisma. Welcome to the Dallas Buyers Club indeed!
